It was a busy last few days. Dad, Mike and Jim poured the new concrete floor in the entry way on Saturday, plus we celebrated dad's birthday at the cabin. Alan and Debbie and their families were also there! Beautiful sunny days and we even hiked to Goat falls. It was a nice break from this filthy, dusty, construction zone house! It was hard to come home to the filth.
On Tuesday, I took the day off of work so I could meet the "stain-guy" to do these posts and beams. It' s hard to tell in this photo, but they look beautiful! Bonnie and I also spent the day driving all over country picking out granite, tile, door pulls and hardware for the front door. I went a little over my price range for granite, but I had to get the Ivory Gold!!! It has great movement through it, just the right balance of greys, yellows, browns and creams and looks terrific with my floor and cabinet samples. Bonnie didn't help of course with her "do it! get it!" attitude :)
